Privacy Policy — Gula Tech Shorts Publisher

This policy describes how the Gula Tech Shorts Publisher application handles information. The application is a private, internal publishing tool. It is not offered to the public, it has no user accounts, and it collects no information from anyone other than its own operator.

1. What this application is

Gula Tech Shorts Publisher is a command-line tool used by Gula Tech Adventures to upload its own short-form video content to its own TikTok account. It runs locally on computers operated by Gula Tech Adventures. There is no hosted service, no website component, and no server that receives or stores anyone's data.

2. Who uses it

Only authorized Gula Tech Adventures personnel. The application is not distributed, not offered to third parties, and cannot be used to post to any account other than the one the operator has personally authorized.

3. Information the application accesses

When the operator authorizes the application through TikTok's standard login flow, the application requests two permissions:

  • user.info.basic — the authorizing account's username, display name and avatar, used solely to confirm on screen which account content will be posted to.

  • video.upload — permission to upload video files to the authorizing account's own drafts.

The application accesses no other TikTok data. It does not read followers, comments, direct messages, analytics, or any other account's content.

4. Information the application stores

All storage is local to the operator's own computer:

  • Authorization tokens — the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by TikTok, stored in the macOS Keychain.

  • An upload log — for each upload, the local filename, a timestamp, the TikTok publish identifier, and the caption text the operator wrote.

  • Configuration — the application's client key and local settings.

There is no cloud component. No database, no hosted backend, no analytics service, no telemetry, no advertising or tracking technology, and no third-party processor receives any of this information.

5. Information sent to TikTok

Only the video files and caption text that Gula Tech Adventures authored and chose to publish. These are transmitted directly from the operator's computer to TikTok's API over an encrypted connection, and are then governed by TikTok's own privacy policy.

6. What the application does not do

  • It does not sell, rent, share or disclose information to anyone.

  • It does not collect information about viewers, followers or any other person.

  • It does not use cookies, pixels, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

  • It does not scrape TikTok or access accounts it was not authorized for.

  • It does not use any information for advertising or profiling.

  • It does not train machine-learning models on anyone's data.

7. Retention and deletion

Authorization tokens are retained until revoked. The operator can delete them at any time by running the application's logout command, and can revoke the application's access entirely from TikTok under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services. Local upload logs persist on the operator's own machine until deleted and can be removed at any time.

8. Security

Credentials are held in the macOS Keychain, encrypted at rest under the operator's account. All communication with TikTok uses TLS. Secrets are never written to shared storage, version control or synchronized folders. Access to the machines running the application is limited to authorized personnel.

9. Children

The application is an internal business tool. It is not directed at children, and it collects no information from children.

10. Synthetic media

Some content published through this application features vRon, an AI-generated presenter. Such content is disclosed as AI-generated when published, in line with TikTok's synthetic-media labeling requirements.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised "last updated" date.
